Synopsis

Santiago Requejo ‘s first opera is about Isidro, a 56-year-old man who is unemployed. He has been trying to find a job for two years, but it seems that the labor market closes doors to people of his age. His two friends Desiderio and Arturo understand him perfectly. They feel outdated in a world where image, youth and technology take precedence, but they are determined: they still have a lot to contribute. With enthusiasm and effort, they feel capable of taking on the world and becoming entrepreneurs. If there is one thing they have become experts in, it is taking care of their grandchildren, so that is the starting point of their business: setting up a daycare center.
